Lazio, decisive hours for Kamada’s renewal: the Japanese player’s decision is awaited

There have been days of waiting at Lazio for the renewal of Daichi Kamada. The Japanese midfielder has become one of the cornerstones of Igor Tudor’s board but the option to extend his contract will expire by the end of May. The former Eintracht player has an agreement until June 30th with Lazio but could decide to extend his contract to June 30th 2027. The decision, as Corriere dello Sport writes, could also be taken in the next few hours or at the latest by May 20th next, a little ahead of schedule.

However, no one in Formello’s area has the intention of going unbalanced, given that Kamada has not given the impression of wanting to leave Rome after just one year. There have been various matches, including Crystal Palace or other Bundesliga clubs, but the Japanese player has not wavered. Since his arrival, Tudor has entrusted him with the keys to the Lazio midfield, giving him the trust that perhaps he lacked under Maurizio Sarri. Lazio will therefore hardly want to deprive themselves of a player as versatile and useful as him.
