The technician Andrea Camplonecurrently without a team, spoke during ‘A Tutta C’ on the frequencies of TMW Radio focusing in particular on Pescara and Perugia, teams where he worked both as a footballer and as a coach.

“Difficult match for Pescara, Juventus are strong and well trained. A draw in the previous round was enough and it arrived.”
Pescara’s strong point and weak point?
“The strong point was Merola. The weak point, every now and then, is the defense, which often falls asleep. Even if with the arrival of Cascione we now play more covered.”
How much of a role does the pitch factor play?
“There will be more fans as the next round progresses, but there is always controversy surrounding this team, with a somewhat difficult environment.”
What is the favorite formation you have your teams play with?
“I always played the 4-3-3, then the Christmas tree, then in Perugia with the 3-5-2 we won the championship. When a coach is on the pitch he must smell the change and be able to get the most out of the players.”
Viewers increased by a third compared to last year in C…
“There are many teams with the B badge, so the fans go to the stadium more. There are places like Pescara and Perugia where protests ruin the atmosphere a bit. In the three groups there are teams with an important following throughout Italy.”
Perugia-Rimini: what match will it be?
“Rimini has made a good run since they changed coach. Also watch out for Capuano’s Taranto, who is a highly motivated team.”
What do you think of Eziolino Capuano?
“I know Capuano well. He has always been naive in his interventions. He is a self-made coach. He received little back compared to what he gave. In terms of communication style he is very frank and I like him, he attacks when he has to attack and defends himself when he has to defend.”
Perugia’s tactical key?
“Nowadays football is no longer positional, but circular. Everyone does a little bit of everything. This year’s Perugia has suffered from not being prolific.”
What can you tell us about the three group winners?
“Cesena had planned to do this season and dominated. Mantova had been rescued, Juve Stabia wanted to save themselves… instead they were very good at doing their best. Avellino and Benevento were favourites, they spent a lot and didn’t make any money. The same can be said of Padua, Vicenza and Triestina”.
What type of dock is the C Series?
“Primavera trains you much less than C. In Primavera you always remain in the club you belong to and you don’t grow on a character level, from the smallest things, such as the lack of structures which sometimes forces you to adapt”.
What do you think of the Under23s of the Serie A teams in Serie C?
“If we want to cultivate a pool of players to recharge those who are of a certain age we need to start like this, with involvement and mix”.
A word about Catania?
“In Catania they changed often. The team is too old, with players who don’t have anything to do with Serie C and are struggling mentally, given that they are technically excellent. Serie C has little recovery time and has more competitive spirit.”
Who would you give the award for best coach to?
“Equal merit is Casertana and Audace Cerignola. Having played quietly, they achieved great results while also playing good football. I’ll also include Atalanta Under23.”
Returning to Perugia and Pescara, large squares with great corporate contradictions…
“They are experiencing an identical situation. Santopadre is contested like Sebastiani. Everyone shouts at him to go away, but then the problem is finding replacements. We need to be sincere and not say stupid things to the fans. We shouldn’t make fun of the fans with useless proclamations, because by creating expectations you create the problem of having to fulfill them.”
His future?
“I watch the matches, I keep informed. I would like to return to coaching soon. I don’t have attorneys or agents, so I hope they remember me.”
