The first leg of the Serie C Italian Cup semi-final ended 1-1 Giana Erminio And Caldiero Terme with the guests finding the equalizer right in injury time of the second half, when Caccavo, following a free kick from Florio, headed past Moro. Instead, it was Stuckler who broke the deadlock, giving his team the lead from eleven metres.
We remind you that, as per the regulations, “at the end of the Semi-final round, the winner is the team which, at the end of the two home and away matches, obtains the highest score or, in case of equal scores, after the return match, the team that has achieved a better goal difference in the two matches. In the event of a further tie at the end of the two matches, two extra periods of 15 minutes each are played and, if this situation persists, the referee proceeds to take penalty shots, in the manner provided for by “Football Regulations” (the final, home and away, will be played on 26 March and 9 April).
