Sensational result at the Dall’Ara on the penultimate day of the Champions League group: Bologna beat Dortmund 2-1 in a comeback: the rossoblù went behind in the 15th minute due to Guirassy’s goal from a penalty kick. In two minutes, between the 71st and 72nd minutes, Dallinga equalizes following an assist from Odgaard, then Iling Junior decides the final result. The first victory, however, was not enough to stay in the running: rossoblù eliminated. The knockout, however, costs Sahin dearly, as he was sacked during the night.
These are the words of Nicolò Casale after the match, on Bologna’s official channels: “There’s little to say, it’s an indescribable emotion. In recent days we have told ourselves that we want to win it. A great match against a team that reached the Champions League final last year. We wanted to give continuity to the path we are taking, so far we are succeeding. There are many emotions in the Champions League, even when you don’t manage to bring home the three points. But tonight those arrived too. We enjoy this victory.”
