During the press conference on the eve of the match against Juventus in the Champions League, the Club Brugge coach Nicky Hayen he spoke about Thiago Motta’s team without hiding a certain sympathy for the black and white colours. These are his words:
What has Thiago Motta changed in Juventus since the day he arrived?
“The team’s playing structure, they press a lot and always try to remain compact. Then they have a lot of quality.”
What effect does it have on you to face a team like Juventus?
“I was a Del Piero fan, and from then on I always had a certain liking for Juventus, but I won’t have this liking tomorrow.”
On the qualities of Juventus
“Juventus is a strong opponent with a clear structure. We have to match their intensity and show our best game. This could become a historic moment, and I hope my players reward themselves. We are unbeaten in 18 games and we want to continue this series. Everything is still in our hands, so we won’t make calculations. I invite the fans to be present right from the warm-up and transform the stadium into a real bedlam.”
