The challenge as an ex from Formisano: “Difficult months after Perugia, Pianese was the turning point”

As can be read on the club’s official channels, a challenge with an unfavorable prognosis, the last of 2024 for the Pianese: the zebrattes, in fact, will close the calendar year by going to the ‘Renato Curi’, where they will face Perugiaon the first day of the return round. The match which will be played tomorrow at 5.30pm will be one former match for the Amiatini coach Alessandro Formisanosacked by Grifo on 28 October and arrived at Pianese ten days ago.

These are the coach’s words in view of the match: “Arezzo was a particular debut. The thick fog prevented us from evaluating the match both live and in the post-match analysis phase. The visibility was so low that we couldn’t review the match”. Alessandro Formisano, coach, starts from here. I’m still satisfied with the performance because I believe that the reaction was there and that we played it out. The incidents penalized us, but we still did well in going close to reopen it. We came close to making it 4-3, but playing with the man down for 25 minutes is really difficult.”

He then concludes: “The Pianese experience is certainly a new experience for me, especially from a human point of view. I also spoke about it with the technical staff during the week, but we are sure that the foundations are there to do well. I believe that the way in which we were welcomed by society and the environment allowed us to start working in the best possible way and with the necessary tranquility. The arrival in Piancastagnaio was beautiful, especially for me, who had been living with difficulty for months. Here I found a humanity that I had been missingan environment that tried to open up first to the person and then to the technician with his history and his path. The fact that the fans were close to us from day one and that we were even able to go to dinner with them is something wonderful. It is a dimension that I was missing and for which we will try to give everything. We want to make our fans proud of us.”
