Last season the Milan squad was decimated by injuries which greatly limited its value and, consequently, its results. With Paulo Fonseca, things are going much better, even if, however, problems are coming for everyone and on Friday evening the Rossoneri team will be at the Bentegodi in Verona without Florenzi, Bennacer, Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Jovic, Okafor and Musah.
Numbers
At this point last season there were 28 injuries, now there are 20 with a peak in the last period, even if five out of seven players (Jovic, Bennacer, Florenzi, Okafor and Loftus-Cheek) are repeat offenders. Numbers that can certainly still be improved, but positive for what was seen until a few months ago. For Verona, meanwhile, Fonseca will once again have to make a virtue of necessity: with the players counted from the waist up, the Rossoneri coach will once again have to field Fofana and Reijnders from the first minute and, perhaps, one between Camarda (2008) and Liberali (2007) ahead.
Watch out for Vos
Considering the emergency that they are about to face, on the occasion of Friday’s away game Milan could add another boy to this list, Silvano Vos, a Dutch midfielder born in 2005, now joined by Milan Futuro, who will certainly be added to the first team considering the injuries to Loftus-Cheek and Musah. Against Genoa the former ajac was on the bench for 90 minutes, in Verona who knows if he might get a few minutes on the pitch.
