Present in the ‘Radio Serie A’ studios, Massimo Ambrosini commented on Gian Piero Gasperini’s scolding of Nicolò Zaniolo for his celebration after the goal that decided the match against Cagliari: “It may go well the first time, then it’s right to adjust yourself. For your growth, for your way of experiencing your profession. It’s one thing to let your anger explode in the right way, it’s another to provoke it. It’s right to have placed emphasis on this: Gasperini spoke of the importance for the team, but it is even more important for the growth of the player himself. The limit between angry celebration and provocation should not be crossed too often.”
Ambrosini then compared what happened to Zaniolo with Vlahovic’s reaction towards the fans after Juventus-Venice 2-2: Humanly, I feel like justifying Vlahovic’s behavior more because in that case he received insults: I find it more human and understandable. Even more so if you are there to say thank you for the support and I find people insulting you.”
After the match against Cagliari, this is how Gasperini commented on Zaniolo’s celebration: “He has improved a lot in his dynamism, but he must work in managing the finish and above all in his character. We cannot afford to wake up the opponent and he cannot set the opposing public on fire every time he scores a goal.”
