Como, Fabregas: “The ‘all-rounder’ midfielder costs 40 million. Late changes? It’s not an a priori choice”

On the eve of the match against Roma, the Como coach Cesc Fabregas he spoke thus of the often late changes that have characterized the team’s start to the season: “It’s not an a priori choice, I don’t do it on purpose. Last year I removed Strefezza at half-time against Cosenza. When I’m convinced that that formation will work good, I’ll move on. Let’s also say that for a long period we had little choice on the bench, which has now changed.”

The ‘all-rounder’ midfielder:
“The player who recovers, sets, builds and maybe scores is there, but he costs 40 million euros… We now have Mazzitelli, Da Cunha reinvented and Engelhardt grown, as well as Kone, players who can do well. If everyone is well, I feel strong to move forward with them and I can’t ask for players in January in that role.

On the calendar:
“Our state of mind is to go and get points even where it may be difficult to do so. We are working hard, with training, matches and comparisons. I see the desire and mentality, we know that we have to improve in the two areas. We want to play as a proactive team , but let’s not forget that we are Como and we must save ourselves: determination and fighting until the end must never be lacking. I ask perhaps less tactics, but more mentality”, he highlights LarioSport.
