Theo out for posturing? Possible already on Sunday: who in his place

Paulo Fonseca’s outburst on Wednesday after the victory against Red Star has already had important consequences. The consequences that matter most, however, are those on the field. Against Genoa, in fact, the Rossoneri coach could eliminate Theo Hernandez, one of the recipients of his heated statements. Who could replace the French full-back if this occurred?

The first hypothesis
The favourite, to date, is Filippo Terracciano, Theo Hernandez’s standard reserve despite being a right-footed player forced to play as a left-back. The former Verona player has already played in place of Theo Hernandez on several occasions, including recent matches in which Theo was disqualified (against Udinese and against Napoli) or in which he observed a turnover (against Sassuolo).

The two young people
The other two options include two players from Milan Futuro, following what Fonseca specifically said in the press conference after the Red Star: “I work every day for the good of the team, but within the group I don’t know if everyone can say the same thing. I will never stop. I have a clear conscience. If there is a need to let the Primavera or Milan Futuro boys play, I will do it.” Already from Sunday? In the running to replace Theo are the 2005 youngsters Davide Bartesaghi and Alex Jimenez.
