Milan, first confrontation between Fonseca and management: the coach explained that he wants to shake up the team

After Wednesday’s Champions League success against Red Star, the Milan he met yesterday morning at Milanello for a relaxation session and to start preparing for the championship match against Genoa scheduled for Sunday evening at 8.45pm at San Siro. The injured players did not take part in the session, namely Bennacer, Florenzi, Jovic, Pulisic and the pair formed by Morata and Loftus-Cheek, both of whom stopped yesterday evening. The focus, however, was above all on Wednesday’s very harsh outburst Paulo Fonseca.

These are the coach’s words: “I am a person who is not satisfied only with the result. I am satisfied with the result, the most important thing. We won, we are in a good position but I am tired of fighting against these things. I am not satisfied of the team’s performance. I know that I work every day to do well. I don’t know if everyone in our team can say this. We have the obligation to give and do everything to win, and we haven’t team of what happened on the pitch they must understand that this must not happen”.

The first meeting between the coach and the club came in the afternoon, on the occasion of the Rossoneri youth sector’s Christmas party. The entire First Team was present. With them Fonseca, Ibrahimovic, Moncada and Kirovski, who greeted the children and young people present. The management discussed with the coach about yesterday’s harsh words: the coach explained his desire to shake up the team after too many performance “roller coasters”.
