Jovetic: “Atalanta is scary, but Inter are favorites for the Scudetto. Juve? It takes time”

Stevan Jovetic he is a very well-known character in Italy. His spells at Fiorentina and Inter made him famous, but above all loved by both fans, who have always considered him a very classy footballer. In the interview given to TuttoJuve.com however, the ex Manchester City presented tomorrow’s match Juventus: “The Citizens are not experiencing a great moment, we are all used to seeing them win by three or four goals and instead they are in a bit of difficulty at the moment. It’s normal because it can happen in football, then even injuries don’t happen to them they are helping. The Bianconeri are having a so-and-so championship and not like Juve, but the coach has just arrived and it takes time, but it is no longer the winning team of years ago Manchester City: it’s stronger, despite not being in great shape.”

The challenge within the challenge is certainly represented by the comparison between Haaland and Vlahovic, two of the best 2000 players in our football.
“For my part, there will be a lot of curiosity for this duel, there are two who score and Haaland manages to do it a little more. Vlahović is doing well, but it must be said that it is more difficult to play for Juve since you are unable to have 3/4 clean balls per game like in City. He did very well last year, he can improve a lot and grow even more. I sincerely wish him the best.”

What do you think of Yildiz? He remembers her a little.
“I played against him about twenty days ago with the national team (Montenegro-Turkey 3-1 ed.), I faced him and I like his characteristics: he’s fast, he has a good shot and he’s unpredictable. For me he’s very strong , he is young and his qualities are important. Wearing the Juve shirt loads you with responsibility and pressure, but I am sure he will be even better once he manages to overcome all this.”

Adzic is among the most talented Montenegrins.
“We really believe in Adžić, he will be my heir in the national team. He is a very qualitative boy, physically strong, he has just arrived from the Montenegrin championship and it is not easy to immediately settle into Serie A. This is a period of adjustment, The more time passes, the more he will improve. On the other hand, the moment he entered he behaved well, I saw that Motta speaks well of him and is giving him confidence.

Juventus aspires to win again. Will he succeed?
“Obviously yes, but it will still take some time. I agree on the type of project which is multi-year, I have seen that they are focusing a lot on young people but to obtain results you also need experienced players and the right mix that can balance the whole thing.”

Who are the favorites to win the Scudetto?
“It’s nice to see a championship like this in which there are many teams that are doing great. I’m very happy with Fiorentina’s progress, they’re managing to keep up and my hope is to see them be able to compete for a place in the Champions League as was the case in my time. Atalanta are scary for what they have been doing in recent years, they are now capable of challenging the top teams in Europe on equal terms. I still have the victory over Leverkusen in the Europa League in mind, really fantastic. The match with Real Madrid it won’t be a given at all, already in the Super Cup this summer they demonstrated that they could do well. What made the difference was the experience in that type of match, given that Madrid plays three finals a year.”

Isn’t Juventus among the favourites?
“Honestly no, for me the favorite is Inter because of the squad which is the most complete in Italy. Players like Taremi, Frattesi, Correa and Arnautovic sit on the bench. And then they have played together for many years, a detail not to be overlooked at a mental level.”
