Triestina found their second success of the season by beating Vicenza 2-0 at the end of a convincing performance, thanks to Olivieri’s brace. The technician Attilio Tesserin the press conference, underlined the importance of the victory, the result of great team work and a rediscovered team identity.
“Miracles cannot be achieved, they are built with trust and work. Today, in addition to character, I saw a compact team with a clear identity,” declared Tesser. “We developed the game well both in possession and out of possession. The result is clear and deserved, but we suffered when necessary, especially in the first ten minutes of the second half.”
The coach praised the team’s spirit of sacrifice, with examples such as Olivieri and Vertainen who also showed great participation in the defensive phase. The choice of the two strikers was decisive in giving weight to the attack and exploiting the depth, while the inversion of the midfielders effectively countered the movements of the opposing midfield.
Despite the satisfaction, Tesser maintained a pragmatic approach: “The road is still long and hard. If we are satisfied with these two results we will make a big mistake. We must stay focused and continue to build on these foundations, because every match will be a challenge, starting with Novara”, he concluded.
