Dan Ashworth he is no longer Manchester United’s sporting director. The news, anticipated by The Athletic, was confirmed this morning by an official statement from the club: “Dan Ashworth – we read – has left his role by mutual agreement with the club”. Having arrived at Old Traffors five months ago, the now former sporting director paid for the club’s negative moment: too much money was spent, at the moment the investments made have not repaid the choices made in the summer.
