At minute 52 of the match between Juventus and Bologna, the Juventus coach Thiago Motta was sent off by referee Marchetti after the Italian-Brazilian had contested his decision for a yellow card for Rouhi. At the end of the match, speaking to Dazn, the coach himself explained what happened: “What happened with the referee? He was right: I made a gesture that I shouldn’t have done, right expulsion.”
Then speaking about the match, Motta said: “We all have our own reference point on the first goal scored, there is no time and these are situations that we need to improve. We have high-level players to improve and raise the level of our performances. If Am I satisfied with the work done so far? I like judging other people’s work, let alone my own. I continue to work with these guys, to improve our level and face every opponent in the best possible way.” Finally on City: “There is no better time to face City, a team of that level. We will give our best, trying to limit their game and express ours.”
