ECA appointment for Chiellini: he will be a member of the UEFA Club Competitions Committee

There European Club Association (ECA) concluded the last Board meeting of the year in Budapest, following the first Board meeting for his charity, the ECA Foundation. The Council has made several strategic appointments to strengthen the representation of clubs in European and global football, as demonstrated by the list below:

Pablo Longoria (Olympique de Marseille) e Fernando Carro (Bayer 04 Leverkusen) have been appointed to the FIFA Task Force for Player Welfare.

Miguel Ángel Gil Marín (Club Atlético de Madrid) will lead the new ECA Fans Working Group, underlining the commitment to stronger relationships between clubs and fans.

Other appointments include:

Ferran Soriano (Manchester City FC) as a member of the ECA Executive Committee.

Ingrid Vanherle (R. Standard de Liège) as an observer on the ECA Council to represent women’s clubs.

Trine Hopp (FC Nordsjælland) as representative for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I).

Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus FC), Andre Villas Boas (FC Porto) e Niclas Carlnén (Malmö FF) have been appointed as representatives on the UEFA Club Competitions Committee, subject to the approval of the UEFA Executive Committee.
