Unexpected victory?
“No, because we always start from 0-0. There’s a reason why we’re on the left of the table, but there’s certainly a lot of work left to do. We still need many more points, more than double the ones we’ve scored. We’ll think match by match On paper, Fiorentina is stronger but then there’s the pitch: with a bit of luck and sacrifice we won.”
Spalletti was there today.
“I didn’t know it but I’m pleased, he gave me my debut with Inter at 16. From here to the national team, however, there’s a long way to go and I just want to save Empoli.”
How difficult was it to play this match, even for you?

How much does this victory help you for Verona?
“Now we can think about it. Winning gives us more motivation but the objective is to save ourselves, let’s not forget that, and it’s still far away.”

“I have a wonderful relationship with Pio and Salva. Pio certainly asks me for advice because we play the same role and I have more experience. We are different players, but the objective for us every match is the same: to score and make our teams win Let’s hope we continue like this.”
Do you have the aim of returning to Inter?
“I have to be careful, I want to avoid articles… I made my debut at Inter, I spent years there in the youth sector and I also made my debut and played in the Champions League. I am certainly very fond of Inter, they have given me a lot. To date I have not I can think about it, in May we’ll take stock and see.”
What do celebrations and goals mean?
“I promised I would celebrate this… This victory with a goal gives me morale, the last month and a half has been a bit complicated. I had an injury but I feel good and I hope to continue.”
