Runjaic: “Sanchez still needs time, if everything goes well we’ll see him in January at the latest”

Udinese is preparing to welcome Patrick Vieira’s Genoa to the Bluenergy StadiumSunday at 12.30. At the press conference, the Friulian coach Kosta Runjaic he also spoke about some individuals: “Has the injury taken anything away from Thauvin? He had a bit of bad luck in some moments in Empoli, he lost a few balls too many but there’s no need to tell him because he has a lot of experience, he can evaluate for himself his performance, he’s a fighter, he ran a lot in Empoli, he moved a lot, perhaps too much. However, he showed that he knows his role, he wants to be the leader of the team, it’s up to us to help him express his potential the injury had an impact, on Sunday he has another chance to be a leader, the team is Thauvin and Thauvin is with the team I think he will be able to put in a good performance.”

Iker Bravo out due to technical choice? Sanchez?
“Iker is a very important young man for us, with great potential, I think he is already demonstrating what his level can be. After he played with the U21s we decided to give him a little more time to work. He is a important player for our squad and we see him as a starter in the future, it is therefore important that he can work in the right way. Sanchez needs some more time, if everything goes well we will see him in January at the latest. We have been patient , a couple more weeks doesn’t change us much, we want we have him back and we give him his time. He’s an important guy and we can’t wait for him to be available again.”
