Il Corriere di Roma on the Europa League: “Baroni doesn’t want jokes, Ranieri shakes up Roma”

Today’s edition of the Corriere della Sera Rome edition opens with the Europa League matches that the two Capitoline teams will face today. The first to take to the field will be Baroni’s Lazio, who will be busy at the Olimpico against Ludogorets at 6.45pm. A victory would allow the Biancocelesti to maintain first place in the general rankings and practically put the question of direct qualification to the Round of 16 on hold, which is why the coach does not want any missteps.

Much more delicate, however, is Roma’s match, expected at 9pm at New White Hart Lane to face Tottenham. Second of a triptych of particularly challenging matches for the Giallorossi, who after Napoli and Spurs will also have to face Atalanta. Nonetheless, Claudio Ranieri’s team cannot afford to throw away any more points so as not to compromise their progress in the European competition.
