The first part of the season is highlighting how much Milan needs reinforcements. Surely someone important will arrive in the summer, but in January? The situation for Fonseca is not simple: there are many players in the squad, some a little on the margins, but some roles remain uncovered and it is not easy to guarantee a certain level in three competitions without having replacements.
Ibrahimovic’s words
Rossoneri Senior Advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic responded to Sky Sport’s question about the Rossoneri’s January transfer market like this: “Then we’ll see what will happen in the market from today. We’re always keeping an eye open to see if we can bring something to Milan, we’re always in dialogue with our technician to see if there is something needed or not needed.”
The roles discovered
The doubt, however, remains: Milan would need something without waiting to see what happens in January. Fofana has zero alternatives on the bench. Likewise, Theo, in difficulty at the start of the season, deserves to have a bit of rest every now and then and to be replaced by valid alternatives, who at the moment do not appear to be present in the Rossoneri squad. Probably therefore, Milan should reconsider the idea of not intervening in the market.
