INTER, THE RENEWAL OF DUMFRIES IS OFFICIAL; BETWEEN DE VRIJ AND ACERBI THERE WILL BE ONLY ONE LEFT NEXT YEAR. LECCE, EVERYONE IS CRAZY ABOUT DORGU: JUVENTUS IS ALSO THERE. NAPLES, DOES RASPADORI SEND FAREWELL SIGNALS? MEANWHILE ARSENAL IS NOT OPEN TO KIWIOR’S LOAN. LAZIO, AUTOMATIC RENEWAL FOR MARUSIC. FIORENTINA-DE GEA, AGREEMENT FOR THE EXTENSION. INTER
The renewal of Denzel Dumfries’ contract (28 years old) with Inter is official. Below is the press release issued by the Nerazzurri club through its portals: “FC Internazionale Milano announces that it has reached an agreement for the contract extension of the player Denzel Dumfries: the winger born in 1996 will be Nerazzurri until 30 June 2028”.
Gazzetta.it takes stock of the future of Stefan De Vrij, among the best on the pitch in the match that saw Inter beat Red Bull Leipzig 1-0 last night. The 33-year-old Dutch centre-back has a contract expiring on 30 June, but in the agreement there is an option to extend the agreement also for the 2025/26 season. The ideas of the Milanese club – we read – include making this agreement valid and retaining it next year too. Acerbi’s stay, however, is more difficult, especially because he will turn 37 in February.
JUVENTUS
Juventus is also among the suitors for Patrick Dorgu. In fact, Tuttosport reports, the presence of a Juventus scout at Penzo on the occasion of Monday’s postponement between Venice and Lecce did not go unnoticed: the Juventus lights – we read – were focused in particular on the Giallorossi’s left side, however in the database of the observers of the Juventus for several months already (so much so that last summer the director Cristiano Giuntoli, before hiring Cabal from Verona, had tested the waters). At the time, Lecce had declared him untransferable, convinced they could sell him for a much higher price twelve months later than the 15 million that several clubs were ready to put on the table. There is also interest in Dorgu (already the scorer of 3 goals in 12 appearances) from Napoli (Antonio Conte likes him a lot, who already wanted him in August) and Milan (in the event of the sale of Theo Hernandez), in addition to that of the English Chelsea and Tottenham. In short, it seems unlikely that the winger will be able to change shirt as early as January, barring creative formulas. Without underestimating the risk of an auction to get it. For this reason – concludes Tuttosport – Juventus is keeping an eye on some alternative routes that are easier to reach to replace the injured Cabal. One of these leads to Ben Chilwell, leaving Chelsea, without excluding the possibility of some ace coming up Giuntoli’s sleeve.
NAPLES
Giacomo Raspadori gave a long interview to the microphones of ‘Vivo Azzurro TV’. During the question and answer, the Napoli and national team striker focused on his always too fluctuating employment: “At 24 years old I no longer consider myself a young man, even if it may be like that for many. I am very ambitious, I have different objectives. At this moment in my career I would like to complete my maturation by trying to find space and continuity, to have playing time that allows me to express myself at my best. I am convinced of my qualities and that I still have a lot to bring out.”
Jakub Kiwior is unlikely to leave Arsenal during the winter transfer window. Because the London club has no intention of selling him on loan, valuing him at over 20 million euros because, in the event of a sale, they would have to look for a replacement. Arteta considers the Pole as the first replacement for Gabriel Magalhaes at the back and there is no intention of depriving him. Last summer Kiwior ended up in the sights of various teams, Italian and otherwise. Bologna and Inter formalized their proposals, but there was no way to work on the agreement with Arsenal. Before taking Casale – and in the midst of negotiations with Hummels, Vitik, Logan Costa and the others – the rossoblù had presented an offer, while the Nerazzurri wanted to complete the unit by taking Bastoni’s deputy, then turning on Palacios for 6.5 millions. Also because Arsenal’s demands were too high. Neither Milan nor Juventus, however, followed his profile. The Rossoneri were interested last December, the Bianconeri don’t like the profile although Thiago Motta had him at Spezia. Instead there were two strong interests: one from Fiorentina – before the definitive explosion in Comuzzo – and one from Napoli. Both have asked for information, the Azzurri would like him on loan but Arsenal’s policy does not envisage the loan of the Pole even in January 2025.
LAZIO
Adam Marusic is not expiring. This was revealed by ‘Corriere dello Sport’ on newsstands today: despite an agreement currently valid until 30 June, the Montenegrin footballer has included a clause in the latest contract signed with the Biancocelesti for the automatic extension for the 2025/26 season under conditions very easy. Specifically, Marusic would be freed to zero only in the event of the Capitoline team’s relegation to Serie B. Otherwise (and practically a given) the renewal for another season will be triggered for the 32-year-old footballer.
FLORENTINA
The ‘Corriere dello Sport’ on newsstands today takes stock of the future of David De Gea, one of the most important cover men of Fiorentina second in the standings after thirteen days of Serie A. And explains that the Spanish goalkeeper is currently linked to the Giglia club from a contract until next June 30th he has an agreement to renew the agreement for another season under very specific conditions. The former Manchester United goalkeeper currently earns 1.2 million euros: should the club decide to extend for the 2025/26 season, it has already been agreed that his salary would increase, almost double compared to the current one. De Gea landed in Florence last summer after a long period as a free agent. At the end of the 2022/23 season Manchester United did not renew his contract and in the following year the Madrid goalkeeper did not play for any club.
Fiorentina is enjoying its extraordinary start to the season which will lead Raffaele Palladino’s team to play a top-ranking match against Inter on Sunday evening. A match that the Viola will play without the pressure of the result, with the underdogs all on the Nerazzurri’s side. The one against Simone Inzaghi’s team will however be an important test to concretely test the strength and compactness achieved by the team after 7 consecutive victories in the championship. Then, regardless of the outcome of the match against Inter and more generally of the challenges that separate us at the end of the year, there will be time, space and a way to also talk about the transfer market. The managers, after the excellent work carried out in the summer and the great impact on the team of many of the new players, have every intention of being protagonists in January too with the aim of giving Palladino a quality offensive reinforcement. A winger with assists and goals under his belt, to be precise. The idea is to go fishing from foreign markets rather than from Italy, with Pradè and Ferrari who will have a concrete budget in hand and therefore be able to start negotiations for a permanent purchase or in any case a loan with obligation. A figure that is still not certain, given that a lot could also depend on the possible sales of those players who arrived at the end of the cycle such as Martinez Quarta or Ikone.
ROME
Roma challenge Tottenham, Artem Dovbyk looks for his first goal in Europe with the Giallorossi magic and faces a team that could have been his present. Who knows, maybe in a parallel universe last August Spurs decided to materialize the interest born between April and May for the Ukrainian giant and to shell out the forty million requested by Girona instead of investing 63 million euros on Dominic Solanke of Bournemouth, center forward who scored six goals this season. Just like the yellow-red. Multiverse aside, Dovbyk instead landed in the capital and found himself in an extremely complicated situation between dismissals, crises and protests. A situation that certainly didn’t help him express himself at his best, just like that team game that didn’t enhance his characteristics. As if that wasn’t enough, the absence of a deputy center forward (with all due respect to Shomurodov, now injured among other things) has forced him to never rest and now he finds himself in the situation of giving his best without being at his best. Corriere dello Sport reports the background. First London, then home. First the New White Hart Lane, today the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, then the Olympic stadium. And there, within friendly walls, Roma will once again have fans, many fans, on their side. The sold-outs are back thanks to the Claudio Ranieri effect which pushed the Roma fans to completely occupy the away section of the London stadium and to buy many tickets also for next Monday’s match against Atalanta.
TURIN
Urbano Cairo is listening to possible proposals for the sale of Torino. The ‘Corriere dello Sport’ writes it on newsstands today: tired of being pointed out as the possible tyrant who is holding the Granata club hostage, the owner of RCS has held talks with the Red Bull galaxy in recent weeks and is now awaiting possible proposals with interest from the Arab world. In fact, rumors are rife in Riyadh about a possible Arab interest in purchasing the club. There are no negotiations yet but, according to what is filtered, the Saudi establishment is studying the grenade file and evaluating the feasibility of the operation. Cairo has never publicly put Torino up for sale, even if faced with a 200 million proposal he would deepen the negotiation. It is rumored that requests start at 250 million euros.
LUIS SUAREZ STAYS AT INTER MIAMI FOR ANOTHER YEAR. CAMORANESI STARTS AGAIN FROM CYPRUS: HE IS THE NEW COACH OF ANORTHOSIS FAMAGOSTA. SERBIA HUNTING FOR THE NEW TEAM TEAM, SARRI ALSO AMONG THE CANDIDATES. REAL MADRID, BELLINGHAM SEES IN WHITE FOR 10-15 YEARS.
Luis Suarez remains in Miami: his contract renewal with Inter Miami is official. “Inter Miami CF announced today that they have reached an agreement with legendary striker and top scorer of the team of 2024 Luis Suárez on a contract extension until the 2025 Major League Soccer (MLS) season.”
Mauro German Camoranesi is the new coach of Anorthosis Famagosta, a Cypriot team. Below is the club’s press release: “Anorthosis Ammochostou announces the start of the partnership with the Argentine-Italian coach Mauro Camoranesi, who has signed a contract until May 2025 and takes up his duties immediately. Mauro Camoranesi was born on 4 October 1976 in city of Tantil, Argentina. His coaching career began at the age of 39 when he took control of Coras De Tepic, a third division team. He then worked for Tigre in Argentina and then returned to Mexico to coach Tapacoula.”
Serbia could soon change coach after the latest negative results between the European Championships and the Nations League. According to what was reported by many Serbian media, in fact, Dragan Stojkovic’s bench is shaking quite a bit and in the next few weeks he could accept a rich offer from Saudi Arabia. According to what Republika.rs reveals, Maurizio Sarri would be one of the very first names on the Serbian Football Federation’s list. However, it is difficult to see Sarri returning to coach Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Tuscan coach, in fact, at the moment has no intention of coaching a national team but still wants to take care of a club team, even during the ongoing championship, as long as it is an interesting and ambitious project.
On the eve of the match at Anfield against Liverpool, Jude Bellingham spoke in the usual pre-match press conference at Real Madrid: “The Reds – reports Marca – are first in both the Premier League and the Champions League, they are a good team. They have risen in level and for us tomorrow will be an excellent test. There is great confidence in this group. My signature for Liverpool it wasn’t as close as the media said. Maybe they misled people a little in that sense. When Madrid knocked on my door I felt it was the perfect club for me. I think in the next 10 or 15 years I will wear white.”
