8.19pm – The press conference begins
What match will tomorrow be? What are the differences between the games compared to Juric’s game?
“The match is very important for me and for the team, perhaps a last resort. Important points to qualify for the play-offs and reverse the trend. A great opportunity that we can play at an already high level. The differences with Ranieri? Let’s play more less man against man per department. What matters is that tomorrow we will do our duty well.”
How is the team?
“I found a group that worked seriously and at its best. Have I experienced a similar moment in other teams? Yes. With Borussia I experienced difficult moments. We must always believe in it. If we continue to work at this pace I am sure that things will will improve significantly.”
Why do you think you played so little? Do you regret coming to Rome?
“The main reason is that when I came I hadn’t trained for three months. I expected something different. Now there will come moments to demonstrate what I’m doing in training. What matters now is to reverse the trend not only on a personal level but also on of the team. I don’t regret coming here.”
Second time you face Tottenham. How has this club evolved?
“Remarkable evolution. The team plays with very clear ideas. One of my favorite young defenders plays here, Van De Ven, he has incredible speed peaks. It’s a team that presses a lot and will want to involve the whole stadium. Us? We have to withstand the blow. I expect a difficult match against one of my favorite teams.”
Have you ever come close to playing for English clubs?
“I came close several times, but it never came to fruition. I’ll tell you soon. I came close 4 times, but never to fruition. It was always nice to play in England.”
