Antonini new Al Nassr U17 coach: “They played like in an oratory, with me we start from the bottom”

The former footballer among others from Milan, Luca Antoninigave an interview to the microphones of Radio Serie A and talked about his adventure in Saudi Arabia. For a few weeks now, the Milanese born in ’82 has been the new coach of the Under 17 team of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr: “I arrived when they had already started the championship, I made two: we won one and another At the moment in Arabia they are also investing in the youth sector, since last year Al Nassr has started working on the growth of the youth sector and this year has changed about twenty coaches: I am the only Italian, there are many Portuguese, some Brazilians.

In this part of the world they have passion, but when you take 17-year-olds who don’t have an organized path behind them for some time you have to work hard. I arrived when they threw the ball forward and worked on the second ball, like in the oratory. While I prefer to start from the bottom and now even the kids are recognizing this work.”

An inevitable comment on the Portuguese champion who also had a past at Juventus: “Does Cristiano Ronaldo come to watch your matches? He often goes to watch the Under 15 matches where his son plays.”
