The Marathon launches the appeal: “Those who love Toro join us”. In the first half of the match against Monza next Sunday the fans of Turin they will remain outside the stadium to contest the president Urban Cairo under the grandstand. In the second half the protest will continue inside the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. The goal? The same as always: convince him to sell the company.
The details of the protest
“For the entire first 45 minutes of Turin-Monza, the Marathon will remain empty, with the organized groups meeting outside the stadium, right in front of the grandstand where the Granata president is usually present, to shout their discontent. Only after the break will the ultras take their places inside the corner but, even during the second half of the match, the protest against the top manager will not stop”, writes the newspaper today Tuttosport.
Increasingly pressing protest
The same source also underlines how the protest against the Granata number one has become increasingly pressing from the summer until now, making the chants against the president a constant. There were also many banners addressed to him, with the aim of publicly demonstrating the dissent of a large part of the square against Cairo and its decisions in recent years. A mending, at least with the Marathon, today therefore seems really complicated.
