The approach to Milan-Juventus: three doubts for Fonseca, an emergency to manage for Motta

The resumption of games for the various championships is approaching and Serie A is certainly no exceptiongiven that the 13th round of the top Italian championship officially begins on Saturday. Among the main dishes on the menu, which can be enjoyed already on Saturday in the late afternoon (kick-off at 6pm) is the match between Milan and Juventus.

On the Rossoneri side, Fonseca has finally found all available players in the last few hoursincluding the national teams who have all finally returned, and preparations for the match against the Old Lady have begun at Milanello. The Portuguese coach is grappling with a triple doubt about the attacking midfield: the first solution says that behind Morata there are Leao, Pulisic in the center and Musah on the right, a bit like what happened in Madrid in the Champions League, as a link for the two phases ; the second sees a very offensive lineup with Leao, Pulisic and Chukwueze; the third is somewhere in between, with Leao, Pulisic on the right and Loftus-Cheek behind the striker.

On the Juventus side, Thiago Motta has to deal with numerous absences. And the match against Milan will be a litmus test to understand how to manage the emergency: he will not have Bremer and Cabal (season over) Douglas Luiz, Nico Gonzalez, Adzic, Milik and Vlahovic at his disposal. Up front the doubt is whether Weah will be the central striker or it will be Yildiz’s turn. Juventus will certainly have to play differently than when Vlahovic is there as a central reference on the Milan pitch.
