Round 1 of qualifying for the European Championship is approaching: once the meeting in the Federal Technical Center of Coverciano has been completed, the Azzurrine are ready to leave for Poland, home of Group 4 of League A of which – in addition to the hosts – they also belong England and Türkiye. The technician Nicola Matteucci has made official the list of 20 players (of which 14 born in 2006 and six born in 2007) who will gather at a hotel in Rome on the evening of Sunday 24th and will leave for Krakow the following day.
The top three in each League A group will qualify for Round 2, with the final phase being hosted by Poland, the Azzurrine’s opponent but already qualified by right for the finals scheduled for 15 to 27 June. The last place in each group of Round 1 of League A will finally be relegated to League B.
Poland will be Italy’s first opponent on Wednesday 27th at 12pm in Brzeg; three days later it will be the turn of England-Italy, with the third and final match scheduled for Tuesday 3 December against Turkey.
