There has been talk about it for a few days in Spain and now the confirmation has arrived. The Girona midfielder, Ivan Martinhas extended his contract with the club for two seasons, until June 30, 2028. The deal with the player was announced on Wednesday. At 25 years old, Martín was a key player in the successes of the team coached by Míchel last season, in which he played 40 games, 35 of which as a starter, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists.

Ivan Martín, 25, is a key player in Míchel Sánchez’s tactical scheme, who stands out for his versatility in attack and his vision of the game. The versatile Bilbao midfielder has played 12 games this season and scored one goal. In total, he played 97 games for the green and whites, with 9 goals and 9 assists, playing a leading role in their promotion to the First Division in 2022 and in their historic Champions League qualification.
Trained in the lower divisions of Villarreal, he played for Mirandés and Deportivo Alavés, before joining Girona FC in 2022, where he established himself as one of the most prominent players in the attacking midfield role.
