The story of the separation and legal battles between Francesco Totti and Ilary Blasi is enriched with a new chapternot too uplifting. In fact, Blasi accused her ex-husband during the previous hearings in the matter which sees at the center of the debate the custody of her youngest daughter, Isabel, now 8 years old, who was allegedly left alone by Totti in their home.
The Rome Prosecutor’s Office, following what was reported by Blasi, opened an investigation under the hypothesis of the crime of “abandonment of a minor”.punished by law with prison from 6 months up to a maximum of 5 years. It all starts from Blasi’s complaint, who accused Totti of having left the little girl “alone in her father’s house”. The child, we read, would have been left without the supervision of an adult, at home or in a hotel, while Totti made his presence at social events. And all this, at least for the protest, without notifying Blasi. Even if Blasi were to withdraw the complaint, the proceedings would still proceed automatically.
The accusations, the newspaper reports, had been included in the file for the divorce-related case pending before the Court of Rome. However, Totti’s lawyers also let it be known that when the agents of the Ponte Milvio police station, following the report made by Blasi, arrived at the house that Totti shares with Noemi Bocchi in Northern Rome, they found a babysitter responsible for looking after the little girl .
