Ventura: “Inter and Napoli will compete for the Scudetto, Milan won’t. And watch out for Atalanta”

In the long interview given to Puglia newspaper today (read here the integral), the coach Giampiero Venturaamong others also former coach of the Italian national team, touched on various topics regarding the current Serie A ranking, observed both from one end and the other.

Regarding the Scudetto fight, for example, says Ventura: “Napoli and Inter for first place, but watch out for Atalanta. Milan have too many problems to solve.” On the challenge of maintaining Serie A, which at the moment seems very extensive, this is his opinion: “A round of applause for Empoli, Monza on the other hand was thought to repeat itself but is suffering. Genoa is suffering, which seems inferior to Lecce to me. Performance, compactness and serenity will count.”

Ventura also expressed his opinion on Marco Giampaolo, Lecce’s new technical guide who hopes to have put the right ingredients on the plate to get back on top and save themselves at the end of the season: “I had started to worry a little after the sensational final flop against Parma, it was the beginning of the cracks which then came out And after the 0-6 against Fiorentina everything became more difficult.” Ventura also focuses on the figure of Lecce’s new coach, Giampaolo: “He burns with the desire to get back into the game. It’s an opportunity that I hope he doesn’t waste. There was a reason for calling him ‘Maestro’, he always loved playing real football. A streak would relaunch him and the team.”
