Pique’s house in Cerdagna vandalised: “Elegant people outside our territory”

Gerard Pique has made headlines in Spain in the last few hours due to the attack on one of the properties the former footballer owns in his native Catalonia. The Arran group vandalized the outside of his house in Cerdanya, with the aim of denouncing and making visible the “housing” crisis currently affecting the area.

Once the attack was over, Arran’s official account uploaded a video to social media claiming what had happened and, in addition to sharing images of the “interventions” carried out, explained the reasons why they decided to act: “Are you tired to go and live abroad because you can’t afford a decent house in Cerdanya? If you have to leave Cerdanya because you can’t pay the rent, 64% of the accommodations are second and third homes, which are open for an average of 14 days. per year”.

In the video, a hooded man is seen entering the house armed with a spray can. The voiceover explains: “The elegant people of Barcelona who come to have fun on the ski slopes and on the golf courses have nothing to do with our territory.”
