Liverani: “In Salerno there is no serenity and patience, it is difficult to have a common idea”

Fabio Liverani in his interview given to TMW also spoke about the experience of Salerno: “It was difficult for me. The biggest problem I found and which still exists, is that it is difficult to have a common idea, there is no serenity, there is no patience, we live too closely to the result and this leads to confusion. It’s unfortunate because I think it’s a beautiful and important place, but this championship was predictable.”

You coached Dia and Tchaouna at Salernitana. Both moved to Lazio today and are doing well.
“For Dia, there was no need for a great connoisseur to understand that he is an extraordinary footballer: he knows how to score goals, play with others, he is technical, fast, intelligent. He had already decided in August 2023 not to play in Salerno anymore , his problems were totally extra-football and not on the pitch. Something happened in Salerno that only they know, it’s been like this all year, but it wasn’t a technical problem. Tchaouna needed space, he knew how to take advantage of it moments to show off. Great quality, he can grow a lot, he needs to be educated in the collective because he is instinctive, but he has strength and talent.”
