From Türkiye: Mourinho asks Zalewski, Fenerbahce observers on a mission to Rome

Jose Mourinho wants Nicholas Zalewski at Fenerbahce. And it is not the first time he has received praise from Türkiye, as demonstrated by Galatasaray and the ‘no’ given in the summer by the Polish midfielder, left winger if necessary. Currently the 22-year-old originally from Tivoli has a contract with Roma valid until 30 June 2025, therefore at the end of the season – in the absence of renewal – he will become a free transfer that can be picked up by anyone.

Trustworthy man in action
But according to what was reported by Fanatikthe Portuguese coach requested to observe the 2002 class in Roma’s matches against Turin and Hellas Verona. Okan Ozkan, deputy director of the Fenerbahçesent observers to Italy to monitor Zalewski and better understand the current situation with the Giallorossi club. At the moment it seems almost certain – we read – that his adventure in the capital is coming to an end and that he will not renew his contract, also seeing the reaction of the exclusion from the club after Galatasaray’s refusal.

Zalewski’s latest statements
“It’s certainly not pleasant to be booed by the fans of the club I love, but if the team’s results are poor it’s difficult to expect the fans to be satisfied. Mourinho? He was really supportive. He was very important for my career. He allowed me to play in the first team, but I could count on him not only for football: he was very close to me when my father died. Whenever I have the opportunity, I will gladly thank him had his personality.”
