Virtus Verona, Mehic: “Genuine relationship with mister Fresco. He only wants to be called Gigi”

TMW Radio

During the long interview granted to TMW Radio during the transmission To All Cthe Virtus Verona midfielderDino Mehicalso spoke about his relationship with mister Luigi Fresco

The coach, Fresco, said that we still need to grow in playing quickly.
“Every now and then we maybe get stubborn on some plays. This fits into some slightly more closed races. Removing the extra touch would give more speed and lead to creating more.”

There are young people but also experienced guys in the team, how much do they help you?
“First of all, they lead by example. Not with words but with facts they demonstrate what needs to be done. These elements give us a big hand. We are lucky on this team because there is no one who is presumptuous.”

How is the relationship with the city and the fans?
“There is a good relationship with the fans. They are not very numerous but there is a good relationship. They encourage you and maybe when you make a mistake you get a few words but it’s part of the game.”

He continues to call Fresco by the name “Gigi”, is it true that he wants to be called that and not mister?
“He’s the one who insists on telling us that we should call him Gigi and not mister. The relationship with him is very genuine and professional.”

What do you expect from the match against Pro Patria?
“It will be a good challenge. From them I know that there isn’t a big field. They don’t play much with the ball but they focus on the second balls and I expect a challenge like that. It will be a competitive challenge. My twin brother is also with them and for the first time we will clash.”
