Two Serie B big names look at Venice at home: Pohjanpalo and Gytkjaer return to the academy?

Last season Joel Pohjanpalo And Christian Gytkjaer they were great protagonists of Venezia’s promotion to Serie A: the Finn in fact scored 22 times in 33 championship matches, while the Dane made his contribution with 11 goals in 38 appearances with a further goal in the four play-off matches played.

Six months later the two players continue to be talked about in Serie B, but not for their performances – given that both remained with the lagoon club in Serie A -, but for transfer events that see them in the sights of two great of the cadetteria who have experienced, and in part still experience, a moment of difficulty which has complicated the march towards promotion to Serie A (which was the objective at the beginning of the year).

Pohjanpalo, who scored six goals in 19 appearances in Serie A, has in fact ended up in the sights of Palermo where he could replace a former Venezia player like Thomas Henry. The rosanero would have reached an agreement with the ’94 class who would be guaranteed a three-year contract at figures similar to those he currently receives in the orange-green and are negotiating with the lagoon players on the purchase price: Palermo has put a figure around three million, while Venezia is asking for more with the agreement that could be found halfway (approximately around 4 million euros). In this way the Finn would join Brunori and Le Douaron, who in recent matches have shown great affinity and seem reborn after a long period of difficulty, in a first-rate attack on paper that the coach Dionisi who however will have to be good to manage, also given the presence of the various Roberto Insigne (who could leave), Federico Di Francesco and, when he returns, Francesco Di Mariano.

For the Danish born in 1990, however, the impact with Serie A proved to be more complicated with still zero goals to his credit in 15 appearances. For this reason his future could be again in Serie B, a championship in which he won two promotions, with Sampdoria working on an exchange with Fabio Borinilong out of the Sampdoria project, to best replace that Gennaro Tutino who will have it for at least three months. Despite the arrival of the free agent Mbaye Niang in fact the Ligurians are looking for another forward addition, but they also have to deal with a very important salary and from here the idea of the exchange was born which could also involve the external players Fabio Depaoliborn in ’97, and Francesco Zampanoborn in ’93. Gytkjaer could thus form a tandem of great level and experience with Massimo Coda to try to get the team out of the shallows Leonardo Semplici which after a long series of games without victories fell right into the relegation zone.
