Renewal at Heidenheim, here is the official press release announcing it: “A successful collaboration that has lasted almost 10 years will continue: the goalkeeper Kevin Muller extended his contract with 1 early. FC Heidenheim 1846 until 2027. The 33-year-old, who moved to Heidenheim in the summer of 2015 and who is now, after Marc Schnatterer, among FCH’s record players, clarifies his future planning and declares himself faithful to the club !”
“Clearly, at my advanced age, football-wise speaking, you don’t take such an important decision lightly. There were therefore also intense discussions, at the end of which my decision is definitive: I absolutely want to continue my career here with FCH”, explains Kevin Müller, whose contract is valid for both the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga, and continues: “This club is something very special for me and my family. We simply feel very good here in Heidenheim. I am extremely grateful to the management, coaching staff and team that I was able to travel this path to the Bundesliga as a goalkeeper with FCH. What we have achieved together here over the last ten years is extraordinary and historic ‘FCH can be sure that in the coming weeks and months we will give our all so that we continue to play in the Bundesliga in Heidenheim in the future too!’
FCH President Holger Sanwald emphasizes: “It is a great signal for the entire FCH family that ‘Mü’ has given this signal. For almost ten years, with his performances between the posts, he has been a guarantee for our successes, playing a decisive leadership role within the team. All the more we can only thank ‘Mü’ for having already clarified his future in such an important phase of the season and for having declared himself faithful to FCH. With him we will be able to count on a reference point that will also play a very important role in the fight for survival in the Bundesliga!”
