San Diego FC has announced the arrival of the midfielder on loan until 31 December 2025 Luca de la Torre. For the 26-year-old there is also the purchase option and it is a return home after years spent in Europe, between the Premier League, Dutch Eredivisie and LaLiga.

De la Torre has spent the last two seasons with Celta Vigo in La Liga, where he has made 67 appearances, contributing four goals and nine assists in all competitions. He made his debut for the club on 20 August 2022, against Real Madrid. Previously he had also worn the shirts of Heracles and Fulham. On the international stage, de la Torre has represented the United States at both the youth and senior levels. He made his debut in a friendly against Ireland on 2 June 2018 and has since made 24 appearances, winning the Concacaf Nations League twice (2023, 2024).
