The sporting director of Parma Mauro Pederzoli spoke at a press conference to present the new defender Mathias Lovik.
“Lovik is a player we know well, we have followed him for a long time and wanted to. He is young but already has important experience, he has played in the Norwegian Serie A and already in all three European competitions. He has technical, professional and people who we are sure will be able to give a big hand to the team. We are happy to have him and present him today, you will soon be able to appreciate him on the pitch”, explained the manager before leaving the floor to the player.
These are Lovik’s words: “For me it is a great honor to be here in this club with such an important history, it is a dream come true. I am honored to be able to defend the colors of the team. Who inspires you? If I had to choose a defender I would point to Cannavaro. When I was a kid I was given two shirts, the first of Cristiano Ronaldo, who remains an inspiration, and the second of Cannavaro. He also played here, I admire him very much and I hope I can make him proud.”
Your first impact with Italian football and your first impressions?
“The impression was positive, even if it didn’t go as we hoped in Genoa. The atmosphere was very positive, I appreciated the support of the fans. It was certainly exciting, I expect a wonderful adventure.”
