Triestina, defense reinforcement: Tommaso Silvestri arrives on loan from Catania

US Triestina Calcio 1918 is pleased to announce the acquisition of the right to the sporting services of central defender Tommaso Silvestri.

Silvestri, born in ’91, arrives on a temporary basis from Catania with an agreement until the end of the current competitive season.

Having completed his youth training course at Juventus, Silvestri made his professional debut with Viareggio in the 2010/11 season. After the following two years at Casale, he wore the SPAL shirt for four seasons with 87 appearances, three goals and one assist, achieving the double promotion from Serie C to Serie A.

In the 2017/18 championship he played for Trapani in Serie C, appearing on the pitch on 32 occasions with six goals and one assist, then moving to Catania for a three-year period, again in the third series, collecting 105 appearances, five goals and six assists in the championship , playoffs and Italian Cup.

In the summer of 2021 he moved to Modena, contributing with 25 appearances, three goals and one assist to the Canaries’ promotion to Serie B under the guidance of Attilio Tesser, then taking the field in 31 games with one goal to his credit in next year.

He finally started last season again at Modena in Serie B, taking the field on two occasions, then returning again to Catania, in Serie C, where he made 14 appearances.
