Avellino is about to close for Claudio Manzicentral defender from the Napoli school arriving from Virtus Entella. To announce it, to the microphones of Radio Caprithe sporting director of the Wolves Mario Aiello: “Yes, we can expose ourselves on this. We are in the home stretch, between tomorrow and the day after tomorrow we should close.” But what will Avellino still do in the transfer market? “We’ll do something in midfield, we’re carrying out a couple of negotiations, let’s see which of the two will come to fruition first. But I can’t say the names yet”, the words of sporting director Aiello.
Meanwhile yesterday the official announcement of the Panico coup arrived from Carrarese. “We had the need to intervene up front because Vano had left, towards Casertana, and we went for this profile who last year won the championship with Carrarese, this year he was in Serie B, we think could be an added value and we will see it on the pitch.”
How did the Biancolino idea come about? “We worked together with Primavera last year and we won the Primavera 3 championship, we started well in Primavera 2 this year and in the meantime there was a negative epilogue with Pazienza. And here the club had considered being ferried to the following match, as often happens, by the Primavera coach. It then happened that we immediately had a good impact for the first two matches and then the club decided to give continuity to the work and the coach gave continuity to the results. Biancolino is doing an excellent job, he has shown great managerial as well as technical skills, despite coming from the Primavera.”
What’s special about Biancolino? “He is a former striker and, having been a striker, he has the idea of proactive football. I like courage, the desire to build, to have fun. And so I really like Biancolino’s football.”
The next match will be against Cerignola. “A sort of direct clash for us. We have found continuity of results, in the last seventeen we have lost only one match. Our idea is to continue like this, obviously the objective is to get a full result to give a further blow to the ranking or at least not to lose any more ground on leaders Benevento, also because the seasonal objective remains that of winning the championship”.
How are the relations with Napoli? “Personally, I have always had excellent relationships with Napoli, both for the first team and for the Primavera. With Cavese I took Zedadka into the first team. Avellino took Sgarbi from Napoli last year. For these last transfer sessions there is no we have heard, the situations for which we could have felt were not created. But we hope, by virtue of the excellent relations we have with them, to be able to make some deals, perhaps for Serie B.”
