Serie C, Sports Judge: 22 disqualified. Two days in Lepri del Rimini

The 22nd day of the Serie C championship closed on Monday 6 January, here are the decisions of the sports judge (CLICK HERE to read the full press release).

The Sports Judge Dr. Stefano Palazzi, assisted by Irene Papi and the AIA Representative Mr. Silvano Torrini, adopted the resolutions which are reported in full below in the sessions of 6 and 7 January 2025:

FINE

€1,500.00 CATANIA for having its supporters (around 90%) positioned in the Curva Nord Ospiti sector, sing, in the 30th minute of the first half, an offensive and insulting chorus towards fans of another club repeated consecutively for two minutes, in application of the principles enunciated by the CGF at United Sections in the decision published in CU 179/CGF (2013/2014), issued upon appeal by the Frosinone Calcio, must be classified as a vulgar insult in poor taste, which, directly or indirectly, has led to offence, denigration or insult for reasons of territorial origin, but not suitable for engaging in discriminatory behaviour.
€1,500.00 TARANTO
A) to have his supporters (around 90%) positioned in the Curva Sud Ospiti Sector, singing two outrageous chants towards the police in the 21st minute and 40th minute of the second half;
B) for acts contrary to the rules on order and safety and for violent acts committed by his supporters which constitute a danger to public safety, consisting of:
1. in having launched, from the 43rd minute to the 45th minute of the first half, nineteen high intensity firecrackers and three smoke bombs into the playing area, without consequences;
2. in having thrown, at the end of the first half with the teams in the changing rooms, a high intensity firecracker into the playing area, without consequences;
3. in having thrown, in the 3rd minute of the second half, a firecracker of high intensity into the playing area, without consequences;
4. in having thrown, in the 7th minute of the second half, a high intensity firecracker into the playing area, without consequences;
5. having thrown three high-intensity firecrackers into the playing area in the 9th and 10th minutes of the second half, without consequences;
6. in having thrown a smoke bomb into the playing area in the 21st minute of the second half, without consequences;
7. in having damaged the doors of the visiting fans’ bathrooms.
€1,000.00 FOGGIA
A) for actions contrary to the rules regarding order and safety and for violent actions committed by his supporters, positioned in the Curva Sud Sector, representing a danger to public safety, consisting in having launched, in the 1st minute of the first half , two smoke bombs on the pitch, without consequences;
B) to have, during the entire minute of silence, all of his supporters present in the Curva Nord and Curva Sud, chanting outrageous chants against football institutions.
€900.00 TRIESTINA
A) to have some of his supporters (around 70%), present in the Furlan Curve Sector, sing, in the 26th and 77th minute of the match, an outrageous chorus towards the State Institutions, repeated twice in the first circumstance and once in the second;
B) for facts contrary to the rules regarding order and safety and for violent facts committed by his supporters, positioned in the Furlan Curve Sector, representing a danger to public safety, consisting in having set off an explosion in the 68th minute of the match , a firecracker in his own sector near a young fan, thus causing him a feeling of dizziness and making it necessary for the medical workers who rushed to the site to intervene and to transfer him to the Curva Furlan nursing unit for the next controls.
€800.00 CARPI for actions contrary to the rules on order and safety and for violent actions committed by his supporters, positioned in the Curva Ovest Sector, representing a danger to public safety, consisting in having launched, in the 45th minute of the second half, a plastic bottle with cap and full of water on the pitch, without consequences.
€300.00 CAVESE to have its supporters (around 70%), positioned in the Curva Nord Sector, sing, in the 40th minute of the second half, a threatening and outrageous chorus towards the police forces.
€ 200.00 AVELLINO for acts contrary to the rules on order and safety and for violent acts committed by his supporters who constituted a danger to public safety, consisting of having uprooted seven child seats placed inside the Guest Sector.
€200.00 FERALPISALO’ for not having ensured the supply of hot water in the changing rooms reserved for the Referee Quaterna at the end of the match.
€200.00 PRO PATRIA for having approximately 30% of its supporters, positioned in the Local Popular Sector, sing, in the 10th minute of the second half, an outrageous chorus towards the Football Institutions, repeated four times.

EXPELLED MANAGERS
INHIBITION FROM CARRYING OUT ANY ACTIVITY WITHIN THE FIGC, FROM HOLDING FEDERAL OFFICES AND FROM REPRESENTING THE COMPANY WITHIN THE FEDERAL FRAMEWORK UNTIL 17 JANUARY 2025 AND A FINE OF €500.00

MENGA MICHELE (VIS PESARO) for having, in the 31st minute of the first half, behaved in an abusive manner towards the Referee, as he uttered an offensive phrase towards him to contest his actions.

DISQUALIFICATION FOR AN ACTUAL COMPETITION AND €500.00 FINE

PALMI GIACOMO (PIANESE) for having, in the 35th minute of the first half, behaved disrespectfully towards the Referee as he stood up from the additional bench and, gesticulating, uttered a disrespectful phrase towards him to contest his actions.

DISQUALIFICATION FOR AN ACTUAL RACE
ESPOSITO ANDREA (TEAM ALTAMURA) for having, in the 23rd minute of the second half, behaved disrespectfully towards the Referee as he vehemently protested against his decision.

FOOTBALLERS SENT OFF
DISQUALIFICATION FOR TWO ACTUAL COMPETITIONS

LEPRI TOMAS (RIMINI) for having, in the 46th minute of the second half, behaved violently towards an opposing player, as, in reaction to a foul suffered, without any possibility of playing the ball as the game had been interrupted, he hit him glancingly and with a gesture of medium intensity with his studs exposed on his right side, without causing any consequences.

DISQUALIFICATION FOR AN ACTUAL RACE
SIEGA NICHOLAS (RENATE) for having, in the 44th minute of the second half, engaged in seriously unsportsmanlike conduct towards an opposing player, in that, with the ball at playing distance, he hit him in a slide at the height of the ankle, without cause him consequences.
MASALA ALESSANDRO (TORRES) for having, in the 49th minute of the second half, behaved disrespectfully towards the Referee as he got up from the bench and threw a bottle of water on the ground as a sign of protest towards a referee’s decision.
