Bologna, Lucumì’s strategies: between renewal, transfer hypothesis and names for replacement

The fate of will not be decided in these first weeks of 2025 John Lucumí: The Colombian defender’s contract expires in June 2027 and includes a one-year extension option: a clause that Giovanni Sartori wanted to avoid complicated situations like those faced with Schouten, Orsolini and Domínguez. However, if in the next summer session Lucumí were to ask to be sold again to join a team that regularly competes in European cups, Sartori and Marco Di Vaio could evaluate a sale, but only in the face of an economically advantageous offer. Otherwise, if the player decides to stay, Bologna, as written by the Corriere dello Sport he would be ready to review the current contract, guaranteeing him an extension.

As the doyen of the market, Sartori, however, has no intention of being caught unprepared and has already begun to explore the useful profiles to take the former’s place Genk. Among these stand out Lilian Brassier ofOlympique Marseillewho found less space than expected in the team coached by De Zerbi, Sikou Niakaté of Sporting Braga, Otávio of the Port and Isaak Tourecurrently on loan to Udinese, but owned by Lorient.

Among the young talents, however, pay attention to the Dane Oliver Provstgaard (21 years old, left-handed Vejle) and Italian Nicolò Bertola (21 years old, Spice), both considered very promising profiles.
