More news arrives on the farewell of Paulo Fonseca to Milan, with the dismissal which officially arrived today. As reported by Gazzetta.it the Rossoneri club paid a severance package of 1.7 million euros to the Portuguese coach by taking advantage of a clause inserted in the summer at the time of signing and thus terminating the contract which would have remained in place until 30 June 2027. Fonseca will continue to live in Italy at least until June given that his children are enrolled in school in the Lombardy capital. Unless he is presented with an intriguing proposal from abroad: since he is formally free, he can accept it immediately.
The statement on Paulo Fonseca’s dismissal arrived today after the coach’s announcement yesterday evening: “AC Milan officially announces that it has relieved Paulo Fonseca of his role as coach of the Men’s First Team. The Club thanks Paulo for his great professionalism and wishes him the best for the future”
The press release on the arrival of Sergio Conceicao: “AC Milan announces that it has entrusted the technical management of the men’s first team to Sérgio Paulo Marceneiro da Conceição until 30 June 2026. Milan extends a warm welcome to Sérgio and his staff, wishing them an experience full of successes and satisfactions” .
