Inter’s report cards – Barella lights up his teammates, a good third for Lautaro

CAGLIARI-INTER 0-3
(53′ Bastoni, 71′ Lautaro, 79′ Calhanoglu)

Summer 6.5 – There is also glory for the Swiss goalkeeper, who ends 2024 with a clean sheet. A good save in the first half, a great low exit in the second half.

Bisseck 6.5 – Almost ordinary administration, with dangers close to zero (a couple of good closeouts) and fewer offensive rushes compared to the last period.

De Vrij 7 – He takes away oxygen from Piccoli and then also Pavoletti, elegant in his exit from the ball from below and closes by winning the final penalty.

Sticks 7 – He unlocks the evening almost without realizing it, with a lob of the head who knows how much he sought. The usual raids and trajectories from the favorite clod.

Dumfries 6 – Lots of push, dangerous only when Scuffet saved a moving penalty while the game was still at a standstill.

Stretcher 7.5 – It smells like home and lights up. He assisted both goals scored by Inter while he was on the pitch, after looking for a goal denied only by a good save from Scuffet. (From 73′ Zielinski 6 – Competitively cleaned and now on ice).

Calhanoglu 7 – He puts Lautaro one meter from the goal and only the Argentine’s mistake takes away the assist. Cold from the spot I lost the 3-0. (From 79′ Asllani sv).

Mkhitaryan 6.5 – A decidedly excessive shot in the first half, several incursions into the Sardinians’ backlines. (From 79′ Frattesi sv).

Dimarco 6 – The gem is control in his own area, but overall he pushes and has less impact than usual. (From the 73rd minute Carlos Augusto 6 – Reliable, just a few minutes to show off).

Thuram 6.5 – Ready to go, control and shoot but Scuffet tells him no. He slips away into the role of supporting actor as the minutes pass. (From 79′ Taremi sv).

Lautaro 7 – One goal more devoured than the other, on the third occasion it is unlocked. He finishes and works for his teammates, but for large stretches of the evening the ball in the final meters seems to become an unmanageable lead affair for him. Then, perhaps when he no longer thinks about it and perhaps precisely for this reason, here is the goal friend that he missed so much.

Simone Inzaghi 7 – He closes in the best way, as he likes, a 2024 to remember. For the scudetto, obviously, but also for much more. Inter’s hunger after his speech in the locker room at half-time is now a case to be studied.
