Svoboda’s defeat is just the latest sign: Venezia needs reinforcements, one for each department

The injury of Michael Svoboda it’s the last tile in the house Venice: the central defender, who suffered a ruptured right cruciate ligament, ended his season early. It is only the latest signal, however, compared to what the lagoon ranking already made inevitable. The Venetian club, to try to defend Serie A, needs to return to the market in the next winter transfer window.

One reinforcement per department. Let’s start with the defense. TO Eusebio Di Francesco an experienced defender was already needed, to join the aforementioned Svoboda and Idzes, a profile appreciated by many clubs but who should remain. The stop of the former has broadened the needs, keeping in mind the context – Venezia has a very careful management of its finances – two reinforcements could arrive. Caldirola and Andrea Carboni are two conceivable names: the latter has been liked for some time, so far Monza has responded in spades. The dynamics linked to the goal also need to be clarified: Stankovic has bypassed Joronen, who could ask for a transfer. One of the ideas, which is not too far advanced for now, leads to an exchange with Hellas Verona for Lorenzo Montipò.

Even in midfield, a name already circulated in the summer could come back into focus: that of Maggiore, for whom a negotiation with Salernitana has not yet been started, but could take place shortly. Venezia is following the Colombian with great interest Elan Ricardoeven if for now it has not moved in a concrete way: an idea also for the future. Between the lines, Di Francesco would like another player who goes one-on-one: watch out for Zerbin, who could leave Napoli. As for the attack, the certainty is Joel Pohjanpalomuch courted but destined to stay: more than likely the arrival of a deputy to the Finnish center forward.
