Fiorentina does not agree with Danilo: captain Biraghi and deputy Quarta leaving in January

The January transfer window is approaching and for Fiorentina it looks like a potential turning point. A turning pointit seems like using registers belonging to languages of different spheres. There are quite a few decisions to be made at the Viola, also in light of the sudden loss of an essential element as Bove turned out to be, but there are also two rather particular situations, at least as regards the winter repair window.

There is a good chance, in fact, that in January Fiorentina will say goodbye to the captain and his deputy together. If the Juventus player Danilo said a few weeks ago that he had never seen the person wearing the armband leave mid-season (who is really sure?) in Florence they are ready to deny him with facts. In fact, the split with Biraghi is now a well-known topic: the positions have not become more pronounced since the player’s agent Giuffredi publicly attacked Palladino, and the Viola captain – now only formally such – has still never been called up since that day. A farewell is inevitable.

He could go to Napoli, who are looking for a left winger but above all a central defender. And here the deputy comes into play, that Lucas Martinez Quarta who is not the first time he has been linked to the Azzurri, in recent days there have also been rumors about Juventus but at the moment it is not a track that is confirmed. In Florence he too, like Biraghi (but without, at least so far, the captain’s excesses) lost his job and it might not be a bad idea to look for a new position to avoid it devaluing further. However, it could also be ‘just’ a loan, considering the expiration of the contract (2028) is still far away. In any case, Quarta does not seem to be part of the long-term project, like his superior (the highest) Biraghi.
