Cucciari: “Milan? It’s not a dramatic situation. Lack of company alibi for results”

TMW Radio

During today’s appointment with Maracanà Alessandro Cucciari spoke on the frequencies of TMW Radio. These are his words:

Is Milan’s situation as delicate as it is made out to be?
“I don’t think Milan are in a dramatic situation. There are points of reference, as a footballer I experienced dramatic situations where you didn’t get paid for 7-8 months and there were real worries even when you took to the pitch. This doesn’t seem to be the case with Milan, these distractions shouldn’t exist and it seems to me that there is a point of reference for Fonseca and that is Ibrahimovic. He is a figure who acts as an intermediary between the coach and the club, I don’t see this problem within Milan. If it then becomes an alibi for non-results, this is not good.”

Who bears the main responsibility for the Rossoneri’s difficulties?
“There were some controversies regarding the behavior of the players, in some moments there was talk of mutiny. The coach is also paid to take responsibility, if Milan is doing less than what it can do then some reasoning needs to be done. There are some non-results and now the coach is backtracking to keep the group under control. He is realizing that he could risk his job and is trying to recover some relationships.”

How much is Fonseca at risk if he were to lose against Verona tomorrow?
“This tarantella has been going on for some time, I don’t think there’s any risk but if he were to lose in Verona there would be even more discontent. At that point the company can think about whether it will have to take measures or not.”
