Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting he ran out of time in Europe. The Cameroonian striker at 35 years old and after a year out of action has decided to get back into the game and sign with the New York Red Bulls to compete in MLS and still keep the flame of his footballing soul alive. The coach spoke about the reinforcement who flew to the United States and was signed as a free agent Sandro Schwarz.

“The New York Red Bulls have signed Cameroonian international Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to an MLS contract. Choupo-Moting will sign as a Designated Player on a two-year contract through 2026, with an option for 2027, pending the release of his P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
Choupo-Moting, 35, brings 17 years of professional experience to the Red Bulls. The forward spent the last four seasons with Bayern Munich, where he made 122 appearances and scored 38 goals. He won three Bundesliga titles, one German Cup and one FIFA Club World Cup during his time at Bayern. Before Bayern Munich, Choupo-Moting played for Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 for two seasons. He made 51 appearances for the club, scoring nine goals and providing three assists.
With PSG he won two Ligue 1 championships and a French Cup. The Hamburg, Germany native also played for Stoke City FC and FC Schalke 04. He made 106 appearances for Schalke, scoring 22 goals and providing 17 assists. Choupo-Moting spent four seasons with 1. FSV Mainz 05, where he made 81 appearances and scored 22 goals. He helped Mainz 05 to seventh place in the Bundesliga in the 2013–14 season, achieving qualification for the UEFA Europa League. Choupo-Moting began his professional career with Hamburger SV, where he played in the youth team. He made 37 appearances and scored 5 goals.
Choupo-Moting also played for the Cameroon national team, with which he totaled 73 appearances and 20 goals. He made his debut for Cameroon on 11 May 2010 and participated in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. He also contributed to Cameroon’s qualification for the 2014 and 2022 World Cups, where he took part in both competitions. Choupo-Moting scored his first World Cup goal during the 3-3 draw against Serbia at the 2022 World Cup. He also played for Germany’s youth teams, making 19 appearances for them and scoring 9 goals.”
