Final result: Lecce-Monza 2-1
LECCE (Report cards by Marco Pieracci)
Falcone 5.5 – Communication failure with Dorgu, he is hit by friendly fire. The mistake is made by the Dane, but he doesn’t seem to be blameless.
Guilbert 6 – Kyriakopoulos starts with the handbrake on, then suffers a bit. He takes a risk with a handball on the edge of the area.
Baschirotto 6 – Gaspar’s serious injury deprived him of his almost inseparable shoulder, he is not affected by the change of partner.
Jean 6 – His second consecutive appearance as a starter is decidedly less prohibitive, he seems at ease in the 4-man defence.
Dorgu 5 – He starts low, but arrives anyway: he takes the penalty by force. The problems are behind, where he does damage: he makes a big deal by mocking Falcone.
Coulibaly 6.5 – Fundamental for the contribution it guarantees in the reconquest phase. A match of great substance, the public appreciates it.
Berisha 7 – More vertical thinking than Ramadani, the launch for the first goal is a gem. Also start doubling. Turati denies him the joy of scoring. From 55′ Ramadan 6 – Linear direction.
Raffia 6 – Technically indisputable, he also asserts himself in tackles: he never takes his leg off even with the burden of yellow on his shoulders. From 68′ Helgason 5.5 – He loses a couple of dangerous balls.
Pierotti 6.5 – So much physicality and spirit of sacrifice in the interpretation of the role, penetrates like a knife through butter, creating the conditions for the doubling. From 89′ Kaba sv
Krstovic 6.5 – Conflicting relationship with the spot, he misses his third penalty out of four since he came to Italy. He devours another on the move, then explodes the Via del Mare. From 68′ Rebic 5.5 – He doesn’t handle restarts well.
Dying 7 – Regenerated by the treatment, Giampaolo repays the coach’s trust with the first center in Serie A. In addition to the lightning goal, there are other good plays.
Marco Giampaolo 6.5 – Once the unsuccessful experiment with the 4-man defense was over, he reinstated the 4-3-3, finding a bit of certainty and above all the victory in a fundamental direct clash. 8 points in 4 games since he took over from the sacked Gotti. For now it all adds up.
MONZA (Report cards by Marco Pieracci)
Turati 6.5 – He keeps his team afloat by hypnotizing Krstovic from eleven metres, he flies to remove Berisha’s remote-controlled free kick from the crossroads.
Izzo 5 – Ready, set, he is immediately caught out of position: Morente flies towards the goal with belligerent intentions, unable to block his path. From 67′ Senses 5.5 – Low pace, doesn’t raise the level.
Seas 6 – Of the defensive package he is the least hesitant, he unravels some situations and tries to convey some confidence to the whole department.
Caldirola 6 – He finds a starting shirt again after a month but his return is not lucky: he has to leave the field early. From 39′ Carbons 5.5 – He comes in cold and doesn’t seem very ready, not very reactive in closing.
Birindelli 6 – The most proactive in the first half, he exposed Dorgu’s defensive limitations: a couple of runs would have deserved better luck. From 79′ Pereira sv
Bondo 5.5 – He gives too much freedom to Berisha, he grows at distance, eradicating several balls but not enough to achieve the pass.
White 5.5 – Landslide on Dorgu, sending Lecce to the spot. He generates the own goal, he dives in and scores but it doesn’t count. From 79′ Maric sv
Kyriakopoulos 5.5 – Uncovered by Pierotti on the occasion of the second goal, in the second half he found the back of the net with greater continuity but was imprecise with his cross.
Maldini 5.5 – In recent weeks he seems to have lost a bit of luster, he only lights up in flashes: great ball to Bianco but offside. And a couple of lopsided conclusions.
Caprari 5 – He should add a bit of creativity in the attacking midfield, but he doesn’t find the opportunity to put the Giallorossi defense in difficulty. From 67′ Forson 5 – Unforgettable entrance.
Mota 5 – The equalizing ball falls on his feet, but he shoots it into the corner from an excellent position. Try to do better, without finding the door.
Alessandro Nesta 5 – A nightmare first quarter of an hour, Turati’s leap saves him from collapse and Dorgu’s gift puts him back in the game. But the limitations in the implementation phase nailed it once again. The loss of Djuric deprives him of his main reference forward, where there is a lack of valid alternatives.
