No winner in yesterday’s super challenge of the Croatian championship, the one that pitted the top two in the class against each other: at Poljud Gattuso’s Hajduk Spalato hosted Rijeka’s Fiume team, still unbeaten in the championship and remaining so even after yesterday. The match in fact ended 2-2, with a nice back-and-forth in the first half: Jankovic responded to Kalik’s two goals for the Split team and then, after the break, Selahi set the score on a definitive draw.
All this after the disastrous defeat the day before which saw the favorite Dinamo Zagreb lose the city derby (which in the years in which Mamic was raging at the helm of the most successful club in the country was considered as a friendly match with Dinamo capable of winning practically all the time) with Lokomotiva, who prevailed with a peremptory 3-1. Now Dinamo is chasing the tandem of Hajduk and Rijeka by 7 points, but has undoubtedly missed the best opportunity to close on both.
