European Super Cup 2025 in Udine, the comments. Gravina: “There was a commitment with the Pozzos”

The Bluenergy Stadium in Udine will host the European Super Cup which will take place on August 13th. After the news released by UEFA, the statement from Udinese also arrived with the general director of the Friulian club Franco Collavino who commented on the news as follows: “After the final of the 2019 Under 21 European Championship and four important matches for the national team, the Bluenergy Stadium and Udinese Calcio will have the pride and honor of hosting a challenge that I would like to define as epic. It is important not only for sport, but for the city of Udine and for Friuli Venezia Giulia everything, for the role and value of sport in this region”.

And again: “In underlining the maximum commitment that we will put into organizing the event, I want to underline how the Udinese project, once again, confirms itself as a winner in attracting events and enhancing the entire territory. We thank the FIGC and UEFA for their trust and we are sure that the we will repay this by hosting the Super Cup in the best possible way in the setting of one of the most cutting-edge stadiums in Europe.”

This is the comment of the FIGC president Gabriele Gravina: “The UEFA Super Cup in Udine is an extraordinary Italian success. We had made a commitment to the Pozzo family, Udinese, the city and the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, which is investing heavily in sports facilities and hospitality, and we kept it. I thank President Ceferin and my colleagues on the Executive Committee, because the 2025/2026 European football season will open in Italy in August for the first time in history.”
